Twitter Spaces |
This week, Twitter rolled out a slew of new features for its live audio channel, Spaces, that allow hosts and co-hosts to gain visibility into Spaces account analytics. For example, hosts and co-hosts can now get information on how many live listeners listened to the broadcast in total, how many times the broadcast was replayed, and how many people spoke in Spaces.
Launched in beta in March for select moderators, these data analytics features are now available to all moderators and co-moderators on Twitter. Access to analytics will make it easier for hosts to plan their audio content and see how many people they reach.
Additionally, Twitter is testing a feature that will post a Spaces card on Twitter once a moderator starts a Spaces. Twitter says the new feature will make it easier for users to engage and share Spaces. The company also said the new feature, now available on iOS and Android, should make it easier for users to see and engage in conversations. With this new feature, moderators will no longer need to manually link to their Spaces in a tweet when they start a tweet to promote it.
Twitter also makes it easier for users to understand the Spaces they see at the top of the timeline. Currently, the purple cards that appear at the top of the timeline don’t give you that much information about specific Spaces. Starting today, some Android users will see more information on the Spaces bar, including details on who is hosting, what topics are covered, who shared a tweet, and more.
The company also makes it easier for users to follow the owners of Spaces. When a Space ends, users now see a list of co-hosts and speakers and can choose to follow them. This new feature is rolling out to iOS and Android users now.
