This morning, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the second Tesla AI Day (Artificial Intelligence Day) event will be held on August 19.
Musk said on Twitter that the purpose of the AI Day event is to convince excellent artificial intelligence, software, or chip talents to join Tesla.
The use of AI in self-driving cars has sparked a debate about safety. But Musk has often argued that such cars are far safer than cars driven by humans.
Tesla is developing software for its cars to drive without human intervention or supervision, but its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system currently requires human supervision and is not intended to work without a driver.
Previously, Tesla held its first “Artificial Intelligence Day” and “Battery Day” in August 2021 and September 2020, respectively, and discussed the future of battery technology.
