As of March 31, 2022, Resident Evil Village had sold 6.1 million copies. The figure emerged from Capcom’s latest financial report, for the close of the fiscal year 2022. The latest Resident Evil was launched in May 2021.
The figure refers to global sales of the title and includes both physical and digital copies. It should be noted that, compared to what was reported in January, the game has sold about 400,000 copies more, given that at the time there was talk of 5.7 million units.
It should be specified that the data of the units sold helps to understand the diffusion of the title, but not its actual revenues, considering discounts and various offers.
Resident Evil Village is available on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia. The figure is part of a broader report on the performance of the Japanese company, which again recorded record profits, thanks to new launches and its catalog titles, which are always very sold.
